Our Commitment
Iris of the Moon is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards across all pages of our site.
What We've Done
In February 2026, we completed a comprehensive accessibility audit and implemented updates across the site. Our review included both automated and manual testing:
Automated Testing We used Google Lighthouse to run accessibility audits across 13 page types, including our homepage, collections, product pages, Maison Iris® subscription pages, blog, events, community, and cart.
The majority of pages scored 100, with a small number scoring in the 94–96 range. Where scores fall below 100, the contributing factors are related to third-party app widgets and do not impact our WCAG AA conformance.
Our team also manually reviewed the following:
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Screen reader usability
- Color contrast ratios
- Focus states and interactive element behavior
- Modal and slider accessibility
- Form labeling and required field indicators
Updates implemented as a result of this audit include improved color contrast, refined app styling, and corrected heading structure for proper semantic hierarchy.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is a journey.
- We’re continually updating our website to improve navigation for screen readers and keyboard users.
- We provide descriptive alt text for our images and ensure video content includes captions.
- Our forms and checkout process are optimized for clarity, including clear instructions and error messages.
- We monitor color contrast, font legibility, and support browser zoom for users needing larger text.
